Tasked with an exploration of two districts - Little india and Sentosa, the photographs aim to bring a new way of seeing. How does one view the immediate surrounding, one that is familiar beyond measure, with a different lens? Can we find a way to look at desolation with kindness and curiousity? In my days spent clocking step counts in these two districts, my pictures ended up displaying melancholy (the really sad pile was rejected, understandably). Yet one thing I’ve learnt, is that honesty and sensitivty can be a way to heal and comfort.
